Here, Moses tells the people to keep silent and remain calm. BUT God says why are they simply crying to me?! 😦 God tells him to keep it moving!!! Yes the red sea (your big problem) is in front of you but keep pushing forward in faith even when you cannot see what God is doing. Take the steps forward and watch God move! Don’t stay idle!
We always have our part to play in the Christian walk. Walking with God is never void of action on our part. Yes faith, but we prove this by moving forward, action. When we’ve done all we can, God steps in. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Saying this can be easy but when we’re going through our valleys, we will often ask how do we know God is guiding us and that we’re walking in His path?
- God says that He will never leave nor forsake us and will be with us till the very end of time. If He’s said it, it’s true, so believe it. It’s not a suggestion; it’s a fact!
- Also, His will is in His word. As we study the word and pray everyday, committing our plans to God, He’ll be ordering our steps through all the uncertainties. It may take time for us to understand, but trust we must that God is moving. God says a man’s mind plans his way as He journeys through life but the Lord directs His steps and establishes them (Prov 16:9). This means that we are responsible for making a plan. God gave us a brain so we need to use it. 🤷🏾♂️ But the thoughts for this plan will be guided by God as we continuously study His word, praise and commit our plans and works to Him (Prov 16:3).
- There are things that hinder answers to our prayers and we must be conscious of them. In other words, to get God’s guidance, we also need to purify our lives of sin and worldly ways. This includes conscious disobedience to God’s word, unforgiveness, unconfessed sins, mistreating your marital partner, unfaithfulness with all that God has blessed you with including money, time, body etc. We also need to be mindful of the avenues to our soul and what we feed them with – eyes, ears, nose, mouth.
