The risk of working with eviil/ungodly bosses/people is that you could jointly suffer in their punishment, particularly when you connive with them. When we however choose to fear God amidst all the wrong-doing that surrounds us, we will be saved! 😇
These soldiers of King Ahaziah (son of Ahab & Jezebel) were burnt to death with fire from heaven on Elijah’s order. 🔥🔥 While the Bible doesn’t clarify if these were good or bad soldiers, it appears that the last group that was spared had a God-fearing leader who pleaded with Elijah as opposed to ordering him like the first two groups did.
God would spare His children who fear Him despite being surrounded by evil/wrong-doing.
- This is similar to the experience of Lot who was living in Sodom and Gomorrah, surrounded by all the evil and abominations. God so loved Lot that he was dragged out of the city with his wife and two daughters when he hesitated.
- This is the experience that God’s children who obey His commandments and have the testimony of Jesus will experience in the end-times, which we’re currently living in. We will receive the seal of God (the latter rain Holy Spirit) which will shield us from the seven last plagues before Christ returns again. 🙅🏾♂️😎
