The greatest military conquest in the Bible? 💪🏾

2 Chronicles 14:8-9, 11-13

Zerah, the Ethiopian, stood against God’s people with 1mn men and 300k chariots. Asa, ruler of God’s people in Judah, had an army of 580k men. Despite the massive difference in numbers, God’s people (Asa’s squad) gained the victory!

Perhaps the greater lesson isn’t in the size of the conquest but in Asa’s prayer to God: “it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us o God, for we have rest on You and in Your name…You are our God, do not let man prevail against you”.

Such tremendous faith against opposition that massive. 🙌🏾 Simple but effectual prayer, lacking idle babblings or repetitions. 👌🏾 There’s certainly no difficulty we can possibly face today that God cannot fix. Afterall, it’s the same God who did it then who we’re still serving today. Question is if we have the kind of faith that men of old did?🍿🤔

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, CONTINUE to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” ‭‭Philippians ‭4:6-7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“God is able to do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us”. Eph 3:20. AMP
